Latency is typically 100-300 msec so synchronous listening and playing
is not practical.
What works: shared documents (drum loops), or ambient soundscapes, or ???
Remote locations do not need to be synchronized. Local players need SYNC
through server.
Impact on host server. Java has bigger footprint but more robust and portable.
Can be used on ISP or shared host if number of clients is limited.
Gives a focus to a social interaction like chat.
